Georgian Rugby Union

GRFU

Over past several years the Georgian Rugby Union has engaged in several social programs such as “Avchala Rugby Challenge”, which is a program in a juvenile detention center together with UNICEF, the UN Women Campaign Against Domestic Violence, and several smaller projects with refugees, people with disabilities and different ethnic or religious minorities. GRU is willing to use successful rugby players as positive role models to promote healthy life styles and to show the public that rugby is not only a game. They are ready to engage in any project that includes social inclusion, anti – drug, alcohol, and violence campaigns where our voices may be heard to help positively change the behavior of youth.
