Global Rugby Collaborative Launches at Beyond Rugby USA

Philadelphia, PA – Twenty-one leading Rugby-based social change agencies have banded together as founding members of the Global Rugby Collaborative, an organization that will unite and support like-minded practitioners from across the globe. These projects (in the space also known as “Rugby for Good (R4G)”) address and tackle some of the primary challenges faced by young people in under-resourced regions around the world.  From poverty, social exclusion and violence, to education, health and empowering young women – these R4G projects are working towards a vision: “Together, Creating a Better World through Rugby”. The launch of the GRC was catalyzed and lead by Play Rugby USA with the support from some world-class Advisors and Launch Partners referenced below. The launch is taking place at the Beyond Rugby USA component of the Beyond Sport Summit – the world’s preeminent Sport-for-social-change gathering, at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia.
